Aliano lies between the Agri and Sauro valleys. You need a car; roads are winding and slow.

Distances are short on the map but slow on the road. Fill up with fuel in the larger towns, and avoid driving the badland roads in heavy rain.

Continue to Craco and Matera, or south to the Pollino.
