Privacy policy

What this site collects (very little) and what our partners may collect when you follow a link.

VisitBasilicata.com is a static, read-only website. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not run our own advertising or tracking cookies.

Information we collect

  • Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
  • Language preference. If you choose a language, the choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so that the home page opens in that language next time. It never leaves your device.
  • Email. If you write to us, we keep your message and address for as long as needed to reply.

Third-party services

  • GetYourGuide. Pages load GetYourGuide’s partner script and booking widgets, which show live tours and measure referrals. GetYourGuide may set cookies and process data under its own privacy policy, especially if you click through or book.
  • Booking.com. Hotel links go to Booking.com, which applies its own privacy policy; we may earn a commission on bookings.
  • Google Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address in the process.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data that an organisation holds about you, for example under the GDPR for visitors in the EU. As we hold almost none, most requests will concern our partners, whose privacy policies explain how to exercise them.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change.
