Basilicata tours & tickets

A ranked shortlist and every destination’s bookable experiences, from the Sassi to the Lao gorges.

Matera has by far the widest choice of tours in Basilicata. Elsewhere, coverage on GetYourGuide is honestly thin: a few walks, hikes, rafting trips and tastings.

Potenza, Maratea, Metaponto and Aliano have very few or no dedicated products, and we say so on their pages rather than pad the lists. We do not print prices, because they change. Every link shows the live price.

Tour questions

Frequently asked questions

Should I book tours in advance?

For Matera’s small-group tours from Easter to October, and for the Volo dell’Angelo in summer, yes. Elsewhere a day or two ahead is usually enough.

What are the best day trips from Matera?

Craco and Pisticci, the Murgia park, Metaponto and the Ionian beaches, and Alberobello in Puglia.

Are tours necessary in Basilicata?

Not usually, if you have a car. Guides add a lot in Matera’s Sassi and are required in Craco.

Can I cancel a tour?

Many GetYourGuide products offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before, but check each listing.
